RO and EDI water production and flushing time can be set. When the
water is in peak, the water production time can be adjusted and the
water point can be used to stabilize the water consumption.
RO(Reverse Osmosis), the basic working principle is : using of a
special high pressure pump, increasing pressure to raw water, then
force raw water penetrating through reverse osmosis membrane under
the pressure. Only water molecules and solvent less than microns
can pass through the RO membrane.
EDI (Electrodeionization) is a revolutionary water treatment
technology ,it is a membrane separation desalination technology
that skillfully combined the electrodialysis technology and ion
exchange technology together ,which is high-tech , green and
environmental protection technology. EDI plant has very high
requests to raw water, usually we use double stage RO system
production water as its raw water.

Process characteristics:
Continuous electro-dedesalting (EDI) is a process of adsorbing
anions in water supply using a mixed ion exchange resin and
removing them separately through an ion exchange membrane under the
action of dc voltage. This process is electrically continuous and
does not require the use of acid and base pairs for regeneration.
The new technology could replace conventional ion exchange devices
and produce ultra-pure water of 16-18 megohm ·CM. EDI is the use of
negative, cationic membrane, using the form of symmetrical
stacking, in the negative, cationic membrane sandwiched between the
negative, cationic resin, respectively under the action of dc
voltage, negative, cation exchange. At the same time, under the
action of voltage gradient, water will be electrolyzed to produce a
large number of H+ and OH-, these H+ and OH- to the ionic membrane
in the middle of the negative and cation constantly regenerate. EDI
keeps exchange - regeneration, making the purity of water higher
and higher, so it is easy to produce high purity of high purity
water.
Advantages of EDI compared with traditional mixed bed:
The advantages of continuous desalting by electrodialysis and deep
desalting by ion exchange are retained;
Compared with ordinary ion exchange resin column, the amount of ion
exchange resin is less, saving more than 95% of resin;
Ion exchange resin does not need acid and alkali chemical
regeneration, saving a lot of acid and alkali and cleaning water,
greatly reducing labor intensity;
